CQC inspection report
In the most recent CQC report into the quality of care delivered at East Cheshire Hospice, inspectors noted that ‘East Cheshire Hospice had caring and positive staff who said that patients were at the heart of the service and fully involved in the planning and review of their care, treatment and support.’
Every aspect of the many services offered at the Hospice were inspected at this unannounced visit and there were no recommendations for improvement mentioned in the final report. The inspectors reported ‘We saw warm, caring, respectful relationships between patients and staff.’
Rob Barrow, our previous Chair of Trustees commented on the report, “We are delighted that the CQC found our staff to be enthusiastic about the care we give and that patients were at the heart of East Cheshire Hospice. The fact that there were no recommendations for improvements in the report means we are getting it right for our patients and their families”
